Presentation Abstract

How do you reach tough to recruit respondents? How do you maximize your research dollars in situations where budgets may be tightening? How do you fulfill your research needs from the comforts of your office or your home? Have you ever thought of doing Creative Concept Testing, Visual Aid Testing, or Message evaluation on-line but not sure how you’d pull it off?

The use of online methodologies is not new to researchers – you have likely used online bulletin boards, online quantitative surveys, and shown stimuli to respondents via a website while talking on the phone. This session will highlight how a pharmaceutical manufacturer and market research agency have really embraced these new methodologies and leveraged an innovative online platform that melds the use of the telephone along with audio, video, webcams, polling, interactivity and collaboration to maximize your research reach, insights and dollars.

The online platform allows the manufacturer’s research team and market research agency partner to interact with respondents effectively. By virtue of being online, recruitment is broader based, reaching respondents with more diverse backgrounds and experiences as well as potentially less tenure ‘behind the glass.’ While there are some limitations to the online platform and certain exercises that can be performed – the benefits outweigh the shortcomings for your research needs and dollars. We’ll provide a brief demonstration of the business problems you can address with the platform and how to maximize it!
