Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs) are rapidly penetrating healthcare in North America, Europe and Asia. Current and immediately likely applications range from drug discovery and manufacture, through diagnosis and treatment to patient management and adherence. In particular, AI will be essential to offset the great shortfall in healthcare providers worldwide.

Intellus members need to keep up with developments and gain fluency in AI potential and applications in order to design, moderate and analyze responses from HCPs, administrators and payers. New categories of respondent are emerging including AI providers and AI implementers and managers in IDNs and medical practices.

This Paper provides a detailed overview of current (2020–2025) uses of AI in healthcare and explores future (2025–2035) prospects in three regions: the United States, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Each region offers a unique context in terms of technology adoption, regulatory environment, and healthcare needs, which in turn shapes how AI is applied in medical science and care delivery.
